We've been in Chiang Mai in northern Thailand for a few days now, and are happy to report that the atmosphere is much nicer here than in Bangkok (both literally and figuratively!) First though, I'm going to finish up a few more Bangkok photos of odd things we saw around town:
I guess whatever will sell burgers...

Hmm... wonder where the R.Alf Lauren store is?

Anything goes with the wiring!

Yet they have these super-advanced "Google traffic" signs...

These "Fish Massage" places are all over - you stick your feet in a tank of fish and they eat off all of the dead skin cells. I think I'll pass.

We saw a ton of these "cleaning supplies" sales carts rolling down the street, but couldn't for the life of us figure out who was actually buying (or using) any of these items!

And I know you've missed the toilets, so here's a typical Thai toilet with the spray hose to be used on the derriere - except the problem with this bathroom is that they decided to be artistic and cover the floor with stones...which meant that all that poo water sprayed from people's behinds was retained under the rocks, giving a horrible stench to the place. Maybe they should invest in some supplies from the cart above...
